Xten Releases X-PRO, New SIP Softphone for VoIP Communications

Xten Releases X-PRO, New SIP Softphone for VoIP Communications

Vancouver, BC, Canada — September 05, 2014

Xten Networks, Inc., announced today it has released X-PRO, its new SIP User Agent (softphone) for Windows PCs & Wireless PocketPC/CE devices. X-PRO can be used to make free IP-to-IP calls using a service such as pulver.com’s Free World Dialup (http://www.freeworldialup.com) or can be used to make IP-to-Phone calls using a pre-paid calling service such as deltathree’s iConnectHere (http://www.xten.com/providers.php).

Xten has also released a feature-rich FREE softphone dubbed X-Lite, which does not include some of X-PRO’s premium features such as conferencing and multi-proxy, but still provides the same level of call quality. Both X-PRO and X-Lite are fully compatible with other SIP User Agents including Cisco 7900 Series IP Phones and ATA 186 Analog Telephone Adapters.

X-PRO is available as a stand-alone product or packaged with a SIP Proxy Server thereby providing an attractive enterprise solution. X-PRO, which retails for $49, has all the features and functionality of a small business phone system, meaning that a growing company could use X-PRO in place of a traditional PBX. X-PRO can also be branded and customized for distribution.

“We are pleased to announce our business partnership with Xten Networks,” states Jeff Pulver, CEO of pulver.com. “Their software is an excellent addition to the Free World Dialup initiative and we look forward to working with Xten more in the future.”

“Our intent is to be the leader, in terms of quality, features, reliability, support and price. To this end we have launched the most feature-rich SIP softphone on the market at a fraction of the price of our competition,” stated Mark Bruk, CEO of Xten Networks, Inc. “The feedback we’ve received from our users is astounding, X-PRO – the new kid on the block – is numero uno.”
