Xten Releases Version 2.0 of X-PRO and X-Lite

Xten's SIP Softphones for IP Telephony Communications

Xten Releases Version 2.0 of X-PRO and X-Lite

Vancouver, BC, Canada — September 05, 2014

Xten Networks, Inc., announced today it has released Version 2.0 of its X-PRO and X-Lite SIP User Agents (softphones) for Windows PCs. Version 2.0 of X-PRO and X-Lite, for Wireless Pocket PC/CE devices, will be forthcoming shortly. X-PRO and X-Lite can be used to make and receive Voice-over-IP (VoIP) calls using services such as Addaline.com and DeltaThree’s iConnectHere.com.

X-PRO v2.0 and X-Lite v2.0 are stand-alone VoIP softphones, primarily sold by Xten to IP Telephony Service Providers either co-branded or private labeled for distribution. Both X-PRO and X-Lite are based on the Internet’s most popular VoIP standards, which means maximum network penetration and interoperation. X-PRO, which retails for $50, has all the features and functionality of a small business phone system and Version 2.0 incorporates a new “cellular-like” menu system that makes it familiar and easy-to-use. X Lite, our “brand builder”, is a scaled-down version of X-PRO and can be downloaded from the Company’s web site for free.

“Xten has done their homework. Their software is simply the best on the market and the company is easy to deal with. Well done Xten, keep up the good work!” states Greg Fausak, President of AddaLine.com.

X-PRO v2.0 and X-Lite v2.0 will soon both be available for MAC OS X and Linux, which will round out the Company’s complete SIP User Agent offering by adding to the existing support for Windows personal computers and Personal Digital Assistants running the Pocket PC operating system.

Voice over WLAN (VoWLAN) and Wi-Fi VoIP are two examples of target markets Xten sees as rapidly accelerating in growth, and which the company intends to pursue aggressively over the course of the next few years.

“Voice over IP is making it’s presence known this year and I have never seen such high levels of interest in the technology in my 8 years in the industry,” stated Erik Lagerway, President and COO of Xten Networks, Inc. “The fact that we do not compete in our customer’s markets makes our offering attractive to many Service Providers located all across the globe. We will continue to deliver award-winning software as we strive to become the Service Provider’s first choice for VoIP client software.”
