Xten Announces Advisory Board

Vancouver, BC, Canada — September 05, 2014

Xten Networks, publisher of the award winning X-PRO softphone, today announced that it has formed an advisory board to augment its internal market development efforts, and to provide additional industry knowledge. The advisory board will work with the company’s executive team to extend the company’s position as the leader in carrier-grade SIP-based softphones and toolkits, and to provide strategic guidance that will help drive corporate and product initiatives.

The new advisory board is chaired by Erik Lagerway, co-founder and COO of Xten and includes: Alan Duric, Chief Technology Officer of Telio AS (www.telio.no); Ted Griggs, founder and Chairman of the Board of Syndeo Corporation; Michael Robertson, founder and Chief Executive Officer ofLindows.com Inc. and Chief Executive Officer of SIPphone.com; and Michael Tribolet, Executive Vice President of Operations of Vonage.

Advisory Board

Alan Duric. Mr. Duric is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Telio AS (www.telio.no), the fastest growing Nordic Broadband Telephony/Multi-Modal service provider. Alan is an early pioneer of VoIP and brings almost a decade of experience in VoIP and active contributions through his development and standardization work as a co-author and/or contributor to a number of IETF, ETSI and ITU standards. Beside his standardization work, as a developer and senior systems architect at Ericsson, Alan was involved in the early deployment and development of some of the largest VoIP networks such as Deltathree. At Global IP Sound (suppliers of the voice components for Skype), Alan worked as Senior Systems Architect, where he steered standardization efforts and was responsible for iLBC (internet Low Bitrate Codec), an IETF and CableLabs standard codec for VoIP. Alan is often a speaker at industry conferences and workshops.

Ted Griggs. Mr. Griggs is Founder and Chairman of the Board of Syndeo Corporation (www.syndeocorp.com). Prior to Syndeo, he was founder and President of Junction, a company developing a next-gen telecommunications open switch that combined TDM and voice packet infrastructure. In 1998, Junction was sold to Cisco Systems, Inc. Before creating Junction, Ted was co-founder of The Renaissance Group, Inc, a company that built flexible enhanced services platforms. These products are currently being resold by Motorola, Nortel, and AG Communications Systems, among others. Ted sold Renaissance to Precision Systems, Inc., where he became Chief Technology Officer. He is also the co-founder of the Internet Gaming Zone, which was sold to Microsoft and is now the cornerstone of its online gaming strategy. Ted earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Michael Robertson. Mr. Robertson is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lindows.com Inc. (www.lindows.com). Michael Tribolet. Mr. Tribolet is Executive Vice President of Operations of Vonage (www.vonage.com). Michael oversees operations at Vonage managing system operations, system applications, carrier relations, customer care, network operations, logistics and quality assurance. Mr. Tribolet has more than 12 years experience in multi-national operations management. Most recently, Mr. Tribolet served as Vice President of Operations at Dialpad Communications overseeing the engineering, operations, IT and telecommunications divisions in American, Korean and Japanese operations. Prior to Dialpad, Mr. Tribolet spent nearly ten years at Data Products International where he created CyberVault and oversaw the build-out of several Internet telephony services. Mr. Tribolet holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.
