Senior Account Executive

Description:

CounterPath has immediate need for highly motivated individual(s) to generate sales for our world class SIP based softphone technologies. This role will generate new sales leads as well as follow-up on leads provided from other sources. Lead generating efforts include qualifying prospects, writing proposals, setting up evaluations and sales meetings. This candidate will drive business through lead qualification and work closely with CounterPath product management and engineering to implement core strategies and solutions to increase top line revenue. They will promote customer retention by post-sales follow-up as well as taking responsibility for on-going maintenance renewals . This role has a dual function in business growth and account management with focus on driving net new business for CounterPath.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 5+ years high tech sales with experience selling into Telecommunications markets is desirable. Secondary experience selling into Enterprise would be an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to readily understand the problem or business need of a prospect and determine if prospects' needs can be met by a CounterPath solution
  • Ability to present the value proposition of CounterPath technology
  • Ability to identify the decision maker and be comfortable calling on senior executives
  • Someone who can thrive in a fast past entrepreneurial environment
  • Team oriented with good business judgment skills
  • Experience using a CRM system
  • Education: 4 year degree or equivalent experience , technical background is desirable
