Customer Software Engineer

Our flagship product is a multi-media application that provides real-time voice, video and instant messaging/presence functionality. Many of the world’s leading service providers and telecommunications equipment manufacturers use CounterPath’s software applications and solutions. CounterPath is looking for Customer Software Engineers in our Vancouver office for full-time positions focusing on developing and customizing state of the art VoIP client applications used by customers worldwide. Primary responsibilities include performing a variety of tasks in software development and design including coding features, adding new modules to products based on customer requirements, building or expanding toolsets to automate existing processes, documentation, testing, support and delivery. The successful candidates must be team players with strong communication skills demonstrating the ability to multitask and work in a customer driven environment. CounterPath is looking for candidates that have development experience in Windows or Mac OSX.

Qualifications:

Understanding of TCP/UDP/IP networking
Development experience on Windows (C++, C#/.NET) and/or Mac OSX (Objective C, Cocoa)
Self-starter and highly motivated
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Enjoy working with customers and thrive in a team environment
Experience with SIP, RTP and VoIP is a plus
