CounterPath Interoperates with Antepo for SIMPLE-based Presence and Instant Messaging

Vancouver, BC, Canada — September 05, 2014

CounterPath Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB: CTPS), a provider of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), Video over IP, Instant Messaging (IM), and Presence SIP softphones, and Antepo, Inc. (www.antepo.com), a pioneer of secure, scalable Enterprise Instant Messaging (EIM) and Presence technology, today announced that eyeBeam™ – CounterPath’s feature-rich SIP Video over IP softphone with IM and Presence, interoperates and is certified for use with OPN System™, Antepo’s award-winning EIM and Presence Management server.

With Antepo’s upcoming OPN System release, code-named “Rivoli”, in conjunction with CounterPath’s eyeBeam, enterprises and service providers can seamlessly integrate a complete end-to-end solution for IP-based telephony delivering voice, video, Instant Messaging and enterprise-wide Presence management.

“As the market adoption for VoIP increases, businesses are seeing real benefits in having features and functionality at the endpoint. We are very excited that CounterPath’s softphone has been certified for Presence and Instant Messaging integration with Antepo. When combined, eyeBeam and the OPN System can be utilized as another powerful platform to deliver availability-based converged communication services,” said Donovan Jones, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of CounterPath. “We are looking forward to working together to deliver best-of-breed IM, voice and video-over-IP solutions for service providers.”

“Organizations are not only saving money through IP-based or converged communications; they are seeing tangible business gains in collaboration and productivity,” said Maxime Seguineau, Chairman and CEO of Antepo. “Like every enhancement to OPN System, Rivoli will reduce friction in business processes – in this case, delivering a scalable, reliable, and flexible platform for both enterprises and service providers to consolidate communications modes, and drive continued business growth.”

For enterprises and service providers, Rivoli works with CounterPath’s award-winning eyeBeam client to offer a robust, scalable Presence engine to deliver voice-centric communication offerings. This integrated solution facilitates availability-based voice and video calls between eyeBeam-powered desktops and mobile devices, while providing Presence management and IM capabilities via OPN System to end-users.
