CounterPath Corporation (NASDAQ: CPAH) (TSX: CCV), a leading developer of award-winning desktop, tablet and mobile VoIP software products and solutions, today announced the launch of Bria BlackBerry® Edition, the SIP-based softphone app customized for the BlackBerry® 10 platform. With the release of Bria BlackBerry Edition, CounterPath is perfectly positioned to meet the telecommunication needs of enterprises with its softphones now available on 95 per cent of all smartphones shipped in the first quarter of 2013.

Highlights of Bria BlackBerry Edition include a highly secure, SIP-based softphone with exceptional voice quality. The app allows customers to access a pre-defined VoIP provider list when adding new accounts. It also supports multi-tasking in background operations enabling customers to field incoming calls while using other applications. Bria BlackBerry Edition will support customers on BlackBerry® Z10 smartphones and can be downloaded on the BlackBerry® World™ storefront.
